I am painter from Mexico. I work from small sketches into larger compositions. This year I completed a 7-month artist residency where I produced a project about the transit between a Late Puberty and a Tentative Adult Necessity. An Auto diagnostic.
In my installation two diptychs and the bridge between them showed the change in views of the homosexual existence, the ageing process. Also, I’ve been constantly attending a naked drawing group this year. In these compositions I try not only to depict the model but also the attendees, the voyeuristic aspect of the gathering and the power dynamics of the sessions. I work in both Mexican and Japanese paper with assorted inks and acrylics. |
